I have been excited to show everyone the tractor and today I got my sister to take a pic for me. Fitting that my "baby" would get in the pic on this day, Halloween. More later as I add the cultivators and stuff.

The tractor was my fathers he bought in 1949 at Myrtle Springs, Texas from a Mr. Holland who was the Farmall dealer there. He started growing plants then got called back into the Korean war. The soil around Myrtle is sandy and the tractor would jump off the rows sometimes. In 1953 or there abouts my cousin was plowing he was really mad at the tractor so my father went and got a 140. My cousin said he was so happy he would have done the plowing for free after that.

When another cousin painted the tractor about 12 years ago my father was so proud he parked it in the front yard, much to the distain of my mother. I wish he were here to see it now, I know he would be happy with the way it looks.

SuperA,

Where are you located in TX. I'm in Cranfills Gap, and am fixing to tear into my 49SA to fix loose steering and leaky touch control unit. May need to use you as a consultant. Beautiful job.

I am 50 miles East of Dallas in Wills Point, in the Post Oak Belt. I never heard of Cranfills Gap.

Honestly, you wouldnt want me as a consultant for work like that. On the other hand you might cause I dont mind tearing into things and seeing how they work.

I bought new saddle clamps for the radiator hoses but they ended up in the trash. I dont know who invented them but they must have been drunk.
