I want to ask for opinions on a serious question I've been wrestling with. So I want lots of people to respond. But it seems that posts get pushed to second page qucik if you post at the wrong time, and I don't think many people read back to the second page...

So, at what time of day will I get the most response?

Mike: I'd lay $50. on the line betting the the opinions of folks that don't look beyond page one, are worth less than $0.05.

Besides, it's silly questions like this that put good solid questions of page 2, 3 or 4. That reputation for silly questions, will send folks skimming over topics quite quickly.

When you need a serious answer. The longer you wait the more time you have to rethink the question. The only bad question is the one not asked. Go for it. JimN

Do what Rusty says, if it is long and involved and gets bumped down, rather than retype it post a link to it (unless you have it in a word processor or something, then just transfer it) Time of day, overall, has no effect on this site, unless you want to get up very early like some on this site and be first in line. The only slow day is Sunday, to a lesser extent Saturday, can be busy on those days also.

Mike, I work the night shift and get home anywhere from 3am to 10am the next morning, but I always go thru till I run into what I had looked at yesterday! as I believe that most of the other people do also!

I have to agree with Rusty. Some of use are on off and on all day, as is the way I do it. But of course I'm retired so I can get on when ever I want to. Also in my case if depends on the weather how often and when I'm on. So ya post any time of the day but late at night is the slowest time on Y-T

MIKE, I always find that between 6 and 8 PM EST gets me the best number of reponses, everyone has got home from work and had supper and then check out the YT. The early evening is when most working people get to their computers. After 11PM there is little activity, the YT startsjumping around 6 AM, slow through the work day and busy after supper..least that's what I find here in an EST timebelt

I don't know that there is one time of day that is better than another. Go ahead and post your serious question, if you don't get enough responses, bring it up again.
