Howdy, boys. I need a "Co-op Agri-Implement 6.00-16SL" 6-ply (5 rib) tire.
I don't know nuthin' 'bout no Co-op tire.
Does anyone know who carries them?
Thanks.
Mike

Why do you need a particular brand? Seems any 600-16 6 ply should work.

I'd like for the tires to match if possible. Not a big deal either way; just thought I'd find a match if I could. mike

Try the Nebraska Tire Co. at 1-800-234-5242. That tire may be made in India. Hal

Farmland Industries used to be the mother of Co-Op. Don't know what they are now, as I think most of that outfit has been sold off to private concerns.

Co-Op tires are probably one of the finest ag tires ever manufactured and have been around since forever.

They're now known as the Consumers Cooperative Association CCA. Hal

Thanks, fellas; I found them in reply to El Toro, 10-30-2006 07:02:05
Found the tire I needed at the Elberta (Alabama) Farmers Co-op. Incidentally, they said the co-ops were switching to Firestone and dropping the Co-op brand of tire. mike

I just bot a 5.5 x 16 firestone tire to replace a bad coop 5.5 x 16 on my 340 and the firestone tire is over an inch taller than the coop tire! now I have to buy a second firestone tire.

Regards
Gary

Whoa! And I did not mention this, but the guys at the co-op tried to get me to buy a Firerock, I mean Firestone, to go with the good Co-op I already had. I made them go to the trouble of finding me a leftover Co-op matching tire. From what you've said, I'm glad I did.

Glad you found your tires. Goodyear has sold off their tractor tire business to Titan. I have a Titan tiller tire made in Indonesia. The quality
of the tire doesn't look bad. I got it from Sears. Hal

Yeah. I've hear several guys lately say that China and Japan make better tires than we make in the U.S. today. It's a fact of life, I suppose, but still sad to me.
