I thought that I would try posting a pic. I havent posted here in years but have still been around. This of me on My 41 H pulling my father in-laws 57 Chev out of storage. This car hasent seen the streets in over 20 years. Injoy the old Iron.

Richard...Great pic! I had a Chev like it back a million years ago (actualy, late sixties), but it was powder blue and white. Think I bought it used for a couple hundred. Never really got into cars, though. Also had a 1942 Harley "45" with a suicide shift and foot clutch. Bought it for $350 and sold it for about the same. That sucker would bring real money today. Live and learn. I'm happiest with my Super M, and don't think I'll be getting rid of it any time soon. Thanks for the memories. David

Cruising down Main Street. Wow the memories. If a guy had a Chevy like that when I was in high school (late 50’s), he was the envy of the class. Most other guys had flathead Fords or 6 cylinder Chevys.

This car probably has a 283 V8, which was a big engine back then, and only a couple of years since GM offered a V8 in a Chevy.

To be really cool we would put on fender skirts, dual pipes, and lower the backend several inches. Oh, had to have a pair of dice hanging from the rearview mirror!

Thanks for posting your picture.

He had the car since the mid 60"s. He used to drag race it in the early 70"s when out of high school. It used to have a big 427 and would run high 11s in the quarter mile. A bit faster then my H. Then he toned it down to an old 283 and it was a grocery getter when he had his kids. He put it in the garage in about 82 where it sat till we drug it out this summer. Now it sits in his shop next to the farmall waiting to run again. Thanks for looking

I think what makes the pic is mans best friend.

I like the 57 but I like my 64 GTO a smidgeon better.

Very appealing photo. Nothing like the excitement created by an image of old iron with a layer of dry dust on it. mike

Both are great pieces of iron. I am particular to my 300u, but thats because I have it here to play with, but great iron nonetheless!!
