I just picked up a power steering box for my 300 U. It has two hose connections on the steering valve marked "PR" and "RT". How do I plumb it into the system. This will be a big improvment to my tractor. Thanks all!

I did the same to my 300u last year pr or pressure line will go back around the seat and plug into your safety valve (this is what their talking about needing) if your tractor just had manual steer before, you'll just have a spacer block instead of this priority valve. the rt or return line will go back to the resivior right under where the rear of the cyclinder hooks on

I don't know about the utilities but on the rowcrops you need the different inside remote, the priority valve, and U-shaped jumper line to go with the steering motor.

I don't have the 300 U parts book but I would guess you need alot more than the steering box. If the system is anything like the row crops, you will need a different flow control valve and other misc stuff peculiar to the Utility.

If you got your box from a salvage yard, go back and get the whole ball of wax. You should also look at a parts book to make sure you get everything.

I would also say you are lucky to get what you got. I understand the PS is a sought after attachment and are hard to find.

Another option that may be feasible is to use a pulley driven PS pump to power it. Honda pumps are real small and powerful. It would be my first choice. JimN

Don't remember seeing that on my 460U, my guess is that pr is pressure line, and rt is return line.
