How's the corn comming? Got it out yet? My folks live west of you on the other side of the state in Oakland, Iowa and they're leaving their corn in the field a little longer cause it is still testing about 16%. Dad's got his bins full and no place to store it while he's drying it and don't want to take the dock by hauling wet corn in so is waiting a while. He just can't get over 200 busahel corn. He designed his wooden grain bins for 100 bu. corn and got by when it went to 150 bu. by cramming but now he just can't hold it all. Harley

Hello Harley

Just got over half done today with corn.

The beans are done.

Yes mines averaging in the 185 to 205 range depending on the field.

Moisture is 14.5 to 17.5 depending on the variety.

I always haul to town in the fall but this year will be a little more. (about 200 acres)

Hauling 16% corn to town is no big dock if a big wind comes and knocks it on the ground.

Last year after some rainy weather it gained 2pts. and never came back down.

Half of the dock is made up in water sold anyway.

One bin to fill yet and the rest goes to town and that will slow things down.

Gary
