I was wondering, was there ever a kit / plan when installing live hydraulics on a Farmall H to use the lift-all as the hydraulic oil tank and at the same time, to use the origional lift-all hydraulic control valve for one way cylinder control? I know outside valves can be used. Thanks!!

I did that for some time on my h. I used the lift all for three point and live for a loader before I bought a three spool valve to do all. All you would have to do is run the suction line of the pump to the drain on the bottom of the lift all tank, and your pressure line through a valve and back into the top of the lift all tank. This will not interfere with the lift all, the only disadvantage is that if you use a very large one way cylinder you will use alot of the oil from the resevoir when you extend it, and it won't be replaced until you retract it. So you might have to run your hydraulic level a little over full.

Yes, I believe I have some instructions for M&W live pump somewhere that did that exact thing. I don't remember exactly how it was done, but I'll look when I get home this evening to see if I still have them around...

I do not think so. There is no reason a tractor could not be equipped with both units (and a seperate resivoir for the Live unit), but to get pressure into the spool valve of the belly pump, and to disable its pressure regulator, and still use the resivoir would be a challenge not worth the time. The belly pump provides less than 800psi(I believe), and the live pump might go to 1200 or 1500psi. (my opinion is to use it as a resivoir, or use both as seperate systems) JimN
