Roger, Pheonix does'nt get that cold on a normall basis to freeze an engine solid enough to crack! you need to be looking at other prob.'s I live in W. PA. and we have to be carefull here, but no antifreeze for a cpl. days and there is no problem! as long as we get everything drained and treated!

Your best option would be to replace it with one that is not cracked and has not been frozen.

The only thing that will drop-in without mods is another F12 or F14 engine. But yeah, it would be a nice candidate for a conversion. How about a 4 cyl Isuzu diesel?

Saw this one at a tractor show a couple years back. Really well done conversion, fugly paintjob.

Thought about doing it to mine when I was fighting carb problems, never did find a donor engine.

What year F12? IHC engine or Waukesha flat head?

Email me, I'll send you pictures of a F12 with a 2.0 liter Ford Pinto motor. Not my doing but looked like a good fit.
