I am looking to buy a new exhaust manifold for a 1944 farmall H. THe number on the manifold is 6712DB. However, the only new manifolds i can find say they replace OEM 8033DC, 362536R21. Any suggestions or anyone know if this manifold will work. Also, does anyone know if there is a certain chrome stack i need to fit on this manifold.

Thanks,
Matt

I have purchased two really nice used ones from Mike at Steel Wheel Ranch. Saved a lot of $ and fit perfect too.

Check out your local CNH dealer or get in touch with Bermuda Ken at Carter & Gruenwald, cngco dot com. They"ve got one that fits like a glove. I think they are $125 - $140 ant that includes the gaskets and exhaust stack. You can also check out the parts over to the left on this site. HTH. Larry

There was a peddler at Florida Flywheelers this past January that hawked exhaust manifolds for the H; seems like they were of the order of $125. He was based in Indiana just south and a little east of IPLS, e mail me if interested and I will forward information such as you'll need to contact him. J Howard

The exhaust pipe is just schedule 40 pipe which is available at Home Depot or similar outlet. If you want it shiny, go to a steel service center and get stainless steel. Have one end threaded. It can be polished in a lathe.

I have a small supply of stainless pipe discards and a threader. I always replace with SS. Y'know, that might be a good business.

Have seen a couple of the aftermarket H manifolds where the bolt holes for carburator would not line up. Was able to drill and file to get them to work though.

There were only two different styles of manifolds used on Hs. the hot manifold for Distillate/kerosene fuels, and the cold manifold used for gasoline. As far as I know, the only one of these being reproduced is the cold manifold, and I believe those are made to fit everything from the H up through and including the 350. The exhaust pipe is nothing more than a length of two inch diameter black pipe that threads into the manifold. It is about 10 to 11 inches long. The muffler then installs onto this pipe. Any chrome stack that will slip over the two inch black pipe will work.
