I got a new water pump and it did not come with fan hub, I pressed the old one off and on the new pump, After running the engine for a few minutes the hub came off and the fan damaged my radiator. Should I weld the hub to the new pump shaft, or get a new hub?

Is the hub just pressed on? IS this the same for the c169. There has to be something else holding it on I would think. I need to remove mine this spring to fix the setscrew and I dont want to have the same thing happen =(

Welding the cast iron hub to the hardened steel pump bearing/shaft ain't gonna work. Get a new hub, and use Loctite.
