Hey guys, I still need a carb for my Farmall 100. Does anyone have a good used rebuildable one or a used repro that they would be interested in selling?????

I'm pretty desperate here and need one fairly badly! :)

Have you checked around at tractor salvage yards in your area? A, Super A, 100, 130, and 140 carbs should all work.

Try a wanted ad here.

Try Ebay.

Nat: According to the parts book A and Super A carbs are different from 100. The 130 and 140 are each the same carb but different from the 100.

A and Super A have a Carter carb. 100 had two different Zenith's during the production run, both with an idle jet only. 130 and 140 supposedly had a Zenith with main jet and idle jet.

I have found a discrepincy in this as my 140 has a Marvel-Schebler carb. The Carter from an A or Super A will not match up to 100, 130 or 140 breather, and if I remember correctly the intake manifold is different size chamber and bolt pattern. I wont be certain on that but believe I remember trying to mount a 130 carb on a SA intake manifold. Didn't fit as I recall.

I have purchased several carbs of the size and model needed from sellers on ebay. Every single one of them turned out to be pretty much total junk. I salvaged a part or two from each of them, and sent the rest to China. A person wants to be very careful when buying carburetors on ebay.

They are listed on this site for 140 go for it. You have a used one now that must not be any good so why take a chance on another one.

Hey Pat,

I guess if I needed a carb, I'd order from the "on-line" store at the left side of this page.

They seem to have quite an extensive listing.

They do, but I'm attempting to spend less than $200 for one. That's why I sopecified used.

If I have to then I will but I'd like to keep looking till I've exhausted all hope :)
