Here I am driving the 1940 H in the Clinton Fall Festival. The only thid that would made it better is if my son was driving it. I restored this Farmaall in menory of my son who was killed in an auto accident in July of 2005. The bell I"m pulling is a symble of the Festival that has been going for 33 years.

Thanks for looking.

Elk Farmer,

Don't know what you believe, and that doesn't really matter. But I personally believe your son was there with you that day.

Very touching story and tribute.

Carl, you have two great tributes there. One to honor your son and the other to honor your community. I am sorry for your loss and admire your dedication.

Elk Farmer - I'm sorry to hear of your terrible loss. It strikes a familiar chord for me as I too have lost a son. He died three years ago and was just shy of his 5th birthday. I restored a 43 JD B in his memory and was able to finish it and give him several rides just before he died. That tractor has more value to me than all the money in the world. The death of a child is a terrible thing. Usually our children watch us as parents grow old and die, but not in our cases. Nice job on the H, such a memorial should be something you take alot of pride.....and comfort in. My prayers are with you, as I know you still must have some hard days.
Thanks
Dan
