Sorry, I should have mentioned it was a diesel. They had trouble getting it cranked today. It had been sitting for sometime, a year or so. They drained water from the fuel filters and then decided to change them. With that air in the system, the auction folks had a hard time cranking it. I looked for a manual pump to bleed the air, but could not find one. I told one helper if it was mine, I would pull it down the road to push the air out. I went back up there a couple of hours later after supper and they were still messin' with it. I made my suggestion again, and the son of the deceased, kind of hard-headed, decided to pull it . It cranked after about 200 ft.

Hi Jim,
There is no mechanical primer pump, just bleed screw at the fuel filter(s) and injection pump.
Trick is to put a small amount of air pressure in the fuel tank filler hole.
Another problem is with the fuel tanks, if there is a bug or any kind of foreign material it goes right to the bottom of the fuel tank and restricts flow to the injection pump. Tractor will run but will not have any power or die down going up a hill. Fix is to take both shut off valves out of the bottom of the fuel tank and clean the crap out.

Hi Jim, is it gas or Diesel?
If it is Diesel then it will be German D206 very good engine. Also used in later models 584 and 595.

Biggest problem is parking brake. Operators forget to release parking brake and drive around with it on chewing up the band that is inside the transmission and the bits fall into the hydraulic oil and could cause clogged hydraulic filters or MCV valve problems. The above problems can cause problems with the power brakes.

There is an idiot light on the dash to indicate parking brake is on but lamp also burns out.
