Does anyone know the date range for the IHC Farmall F-12 with a single front wheel? I'm figuring 1932 to about 1935 but I want to be sure.

Thanks

F12 was built from 1932 to 1938. Single front wheel was available the whole time.

The single is listed in the parts book as standard equipment below serial 35340 and special after that.

I'd say you have it about right. The single front was standard on the early tractors and then became optional sometime in 1935 or 36 when the double wheels became standard. I could give you an exact date but I'd have to dig through a foot high stack of papers.

F12 was a row crop (cultivating) tractor meaning the single front was available for the entire production run 1932-early 1938.

Merely because it was a row crop tractor has virtually nothing to do with whether or not such an option was available for the extent of its production run.

It did on the F series, front ends were interchangeable. I realize that JD and some others had different names for their tractors with different front ends. Many of the F series and letter series were used to cultivate vegetables in narrow rows, for that you either have to have a wide front or a single front wheel. Weird name, are you using as alias because you are afraid to give your real one??

I would think that a single front wheel was an option for the entire model run.

After all, single fronts were available for the F-14, B, BN, & others too.
