Old----- This is just a shot in the dark, but M's were known for starter sticking problems.
Pull the starter out and see if it might be stuck in. I have bought several that were stuck by the starter.

OLD: You still should consider doing that Bow Hunting, as it only comes 1 time a year and you can work on the projects the other 11 months!!!!! !!!

Of course I guess I could aways drive out with a tractor and sit there so the gas/oil smell wouldn't matter. By the way I can do that legal since I have a permit to sit in a car or truck when I hunt

I probably will just not as much as I would other wise. I hate to go out in the evening when I have been working on a tractor and smelling like gas/oil

Yep, you're right Rich. 1951 gas-burning M. Arguably the best tractor IHC ever made. Harley

My partner just traded for it and a bunch of other things. I think the M is locked up and I know the block drain is missing so at least the block should be cracked. And of course I'm the one that gets to fix all the stuff if it can be. It will take use a week or more to haul the stuff in. 3 tractors a couple balers a couple rakes and a bucnh of other stuff. The plan was for me to get in some bow hunting but I guess I'll not be doing much of that now LOL

Rusty another thing about this M that I think is sort of funny is that if you just drove by it you would think it was just parked there a day or so ago. Tires are all aired up, sheet metal looks pretty good, so it looks like it ran not to long ago but of course it doesn't since you have been told a little about it. Even the paint isn't all that bad
