Good guy i know asked me about a noise coming from the rear of his 1066.He described the noise sounding like a tooth missing from a gear.He stated that it only produces this noise on the high side of the TA.He said he asked a retired IH mechanic about it and he said that it sounded like a bearing just on the edge of seizing up in the rear. But to me its odd that it only makes this noise on the high side. Any thoughts? Thanks

One other thing to check real quick like is if this 1066 has the OLD Style park lock and not the new SPRING LOADED one make sure that the park lock is comming ALL the way UP.

I will second that! I thought my trans was gone one morning when I couldn't get my 1066 into any gear but high. I was freaking out that it wouldn't go in low or reverse. Pulled up a little more on the gear lock and lo and behold it worked fine!
