I've got a '52 Super H - #540. This makes it the 40th super H built. Is this anything special?

Let's put it like this:

That claim and $1.50 will get you a cup of coffee :)

It's worth little more than "bragging rights" unless you run into a person that is looking for that particular tractor because it was Dads/Grampas, or because he has #539 or #541.

To me its interesting that its a low serial number, don't know if that adds to the value much. For storing outside I agree make sure to get anti freeze in it - also helps stop internal corrosion as well as freezing issues. Don't know what state you're in or how cold it could get. Sent you an email. Hope this helps, Pat in Wis

Thanks for the info. My mistake. I actually did know it was a "53. Any tips on storing the tractor for the winter? Unfortunately, it will be outside as my nice little Industrial A is in the garage. I"m obviously planning on covering it and running a bit of antifreeze in the coolant, but more concerned with the engine internals.

Thanks in advance.

Super H, serial # 540 is a 1953 model, not a 1952. Typically the later models of Super H (series II) are more desireable and cost more at auction than early models.

It's a 53. Serial number is interesting, might be worth a little more, but the only valuable one is 501.

The fact that it is a Super H makes it somewhat special, but I really don't think that a low serial number would have much impact. Just my opinion.
