HELP. My H has me really poed. Was running great, then sputtered a little. Then ran. Now won't start.
I changed points, condensor, put in a new coil and the battery does charge up so that the engine cranks.
Pulled plugs and cleaned and regapped them.
Fuel seems to deliver to carb then floods out just before carb.

Fuel is only a few weeks old and has stabilizer in it.

I reset the bulb to be sure no vapor in line.

Can anybody give me ideas,,,,, is it a carburetor problem?

Thanks guys!

Take the carburetor bottom half off, clean everything, and replace it.

If that does not fix it, recheck your timing and quality of spark. Pull a spark plug to check the spark. Sometimes moisture will make old spark plugs (even with few hours on them) fail.

does it have a good blue spark ? if so is the timing:-spark should fire at first notch on crankshaft drive pulley-:.?if it is way off then check the drive-shaft gearing on the distributer being sure no problem there. i don`t understand your use of the words "floods before the carb" ?? if gas is flooding out of the carbinlet at the air intake side then you have a carb. problem .

I know how you fell. My T20 did the same thing to me. what kind of plugs do you have in now?
I had champion, and replaced them with autolite.
I also had a carburetor problem. My carburetor would flood out every time I turned the gas on. I rebuilt my carburetor, replaced the float.
And after what seemed to be a hundred times on the crank. I got it started. Some of the guys on this site are very helpful.

Thanks very much all. I think the carb must be the problem. Gas is in fact dumping just before the carb inlet.

I was so happy with the Farmall until this. I guess I shouldn't get so rattled, but I don't have a hell of a lot spare time...other projects in progress. I will bite the bullet and take the carb apart to see what I can see.

They can be real touchy with the breaker points. If it is a magnito .013, if batery .020. I have also bought a new rotor that would not pass electricity. Good Luck
