I'm working on the other red tractor and haveing a problem locating brake master cylinder.

problem is the one i need is out of stock for concentric brakes. they have one in stock for tangential brakes. picture looks the same for both.

anyone know what might be different? same model of tractor just newer, higher serial number. I assume that they do not interchange. just wondered.

Without a model number, series, or description of the year, those of us who might know can't help. Concentric, and Tangential are not commonly used terms with old (pre-1980 IH stuff to my limited knowledge. help. JimN

Well the other red tractor is not an IH but a MF 383. I was trying to figure out why the brake master cylinders were different. Just looking at a drawing of them and they were drew identical and same price. Just wondered why they could not be interchanged.

Different bore diameters would be one possible difference. If trhey were even 15% different, it would make for difficult braking.
The other reason might be fitting threads.
Illustrators (I teach Illustration) often use one image for similar parts even if it is just a bit wrong in some aspect. JimN
