FIT's Electrolysis tank in reply to Hurdy in Aussie, 09-20-2006 23:01:51
Check out FIT's website. click on "restoration tips". I built an electrolysis tank about 4 years ago. I would not be without it now. I used a fiber glass, high wall bathtub as my tank, as I needed tank large enough to put in hoods, fenders and grills.

Hurdy, great looking outfit, Have fun using it.

FIT has a real good article on his website about tank, solution and power supply to use...

Wow, it took all the paint off too? That is astounding, awesome.
I wonder if you put rusted together parts in there if it would free them up,

What is the power source? And, how long did it take to clean the part in your photos?

Am using normal home battery charger, it starts at 2 Amps and goes down to under 1 Amp, put it in over night, the only work i had to do was hose it down when it had finished and hit it with a wire brush to clean of the black residue it leaves
