What are the specs on the hydraulic pump for a Farmall 140? Max pressure and volume. Is it capable of running a small loader?

Presure is somewhere in the 1000 to 1200 psi, GPM is 4.5. There were loaders built for them, not many ever sold, compared to the number of tractors. Front end of this little tractor will be the weak point. I personally wouldn't touch it. I've seen a few busted up offset tractors from loaders.

There are folks that will tell you the loader doesn't lift enough to break front end, I understand about 500 to 600 lbs is the limit. That is still quite a lot 4' in front of axle if one hits a severe bump.

I may be a bit prejudiced, personally I got rid of my last tractor loader in 1978. IH 2000 loader on a Farmall 560. I would never install another loader on a conventional farm tractor. I went to a 40hp skid steer, it ran circles around 560 at about 60% of the cost.
