My 560 Deisel is having some hydraulic problems. I keep clogging up screen and filters with very fine shinny metal shavings. Any ideas where they are coming from. It is getting very annoying and I hate to think I am just grinding something away in there?

The hyd oil is pulled from the rear diff housing and I would guess that the metal is coming from that area and not from the TA section. If your not hearing any obvious noises and its real fine shavings then I would maybe look towards the spiders in the differential are probobly grinding away. Other things are possible but thats my first guess.

Now since i can not see just what your getting i am going to throw a wild guess as i would say axel bearing . or any other bearing in the transmission or rear end . I had a 460 Farmall that ate and axel bearing and filled the transmission and rear end with metal flake and it went thru past the flitet and gave me fits with sticking pressure relief valves and flow divider . IT was and early one that used the Donut papre filtes and i went thru two CASES of them and many complet oil changes , That was the first time that i bought a 55 gal. drum of Hy Tran and used it all tryen to get that system cleaned out.
