Morning! Do you have any photos of a BD264 engine? Im looking at changing the timing cover on my C263 in the 460, will they interchange? Were they cast iron, or tin? Thanks! Chad

I don't have any pics, but the front cover on the BD264 in my '52 pickup [not original--transplanted by a previous owner] is tin.

As far as I know, they'll interchange...haven't tried it yet, though.

[Still considering hunting down some 460/560 side rails and a 460-806 manifold and "stretching" the old H...but I'll probably use the BG-241 out of my heavily-rusted '66 pickup. So if you do swap out the front cover and such, don't put the pieces on the scrap pile; I might need 'em.]

Thanks for the info! I got one spotted, in a old old IH dually. Straight valve, small valve cover engine. Just could not remember what the cover looked like. Ive got a combine engine in my 460H,, so it has the oddman out timing cover, like a stationary engine would have. Looking for weight savings, and thats a big piece of cast iron! You would like this conversion! Its easy! I cant belive the power this things got! for a 263,, it will run with my old stroker H any day! Chad
