Can someone tell me the diameter and length
of the bolts that hold the Rear wheel weights on?? Any washers, Flat or Lock involved.

On my tractor, the LH side (with the pressed steel disk wheel) used carriage bolts only, the RH side (the heavy cast wheel) used regular hex head bolts. The holes on the RH are plain bored holes, not square punched like the LH side. The weights had not been removed since the tractor was new.

I think it is better to use hex head bolts to hold the wheel weights on. I believe the wheels do have square holes, but the surfaces are flat and there is room for the hex heads and room for a wrench. If the threads get a little rust on them, those carriage bolts are a pain, as the square holes will not hold much torque.

Haas: I put my carriage bolts on 20 years ago, used a lubricant, ground the bolts flush with nuts, and the other day I took them off with a half inch drive rachet, never a slip.

True, if everything is done correctly and the tractor is under shelter all the time. I've had too many fights with rusty bolts and that is why I said what I did. Very frustrating to get a carraige bolt loosened and then have it start turning in the hole. Anymore, I usually just get the grinder.

The weights are held by carriage bolts. The bolts go from the inside out, so that the square on the head of the carriage bolt fits into the square in the wheel.

The bolts are:

Left Hand Side:
4 - 5/8-11 NC x 3 1/2 4 - 5/8 Hex nut
4 - 5/8 split lock washer

Right Hand Side:
4 - 5/8-11 NC x 5 3/4 (you will probably only find 6")
4 - 5/8 Hex nut
4 - 5/8 split lock washer
Hope this is helpful.

Dave: I should be able to tell you, I had mine off the other day. They are carriage bolts, 5/8" in size, the short one's for the left wheel are 3-1/2" and long one's for right wheel are 5-3/4" They all use one lock washer.
