Farmall 340 help

I just bought a 1959 Farmall 340. It came with a front loader and no fenders. The front grill is also missing and needs a seat.

Can anyone tell me what fenders will fit on the 340 (from other models)?

Any ideas where to find the front grill? Will the grill from any other models fit?

I have the seat frame but the cushion is gone and so is the backrest. Does anyone have a picture of the original seat? I am particularly interested in what the backrest cushion looks like. Is it straight across or is it curved? Also how high is the backrest?

What kind of cap or filter goes on the pipe that sticks out of the top of the valve cover? It looks like it takes a push on cap like the oil fill cap on an 8N?

I have the I%T manual but it doesn't give a lot of information. Is the owner's manual worth buying?

Thanks for any help.

Gary

Gary: the fenders from any pre 1963 Farmall will fit however only 40-60 series will be the same. With grill I think your down to 240, 340. The 40-60 series tractors are rather difficult on sheet metal parts as after market has not yet started reproducing them, thus your down to recyled parts.

The oil cap will be quite easy and the seat a picnic. The seat on most 340s I've seen is the same as 140, 240 and a hoast of other makes used that same seat. Cockshutt and Deere are two I know of. I was at an aftermarket dealers last month, he had that cushion and back rest in two different colors but not Farmall colors. He is ordering for my Farmall.
