Other than finding and installing a distributor mount casting from a super M stage 1, Or a earlier M if it is not an IH pump, (with belly pump), that would eliminate the hyd pump entirely. And removing the lines and fittings, the only way I would recommend is to connect the input to the pump to the output with a length of hose filled with hytran oil. this wouild lube the pump while it idled along doing nothing.

I strongly recommend having the relief valve looked into, or other possible issues like wrong "O" rings. I believe fixing the system is the best solution. The value of the tractor will be greatest if kept intact. At least keep the components removed in a labeled box that is safe from discard, and identified in the paperwork, so a new owner could rebuild the system. My 2cnts. JimN

Peter: Which system does the M have, belly pump or live pump? I don't have your answer, but the person who does will need that info.

It has the live pump near the radiator.I meant to say disable the pump without damage to it.
Thanks

Peter: I kind of gathered you meant disable. About the only way to do that with your live pump is remove it. You must also realize you will have to make modifications to the distriburor drive.
