Did the Farmall H come from the factory with a toolbox? If so, where was it located?

I have a 1942 H that was bought new by a local dairy farmer that is now deceased. As long as I can remember, I helped him when I was a litte boy, the H had a tool box bolted to the left frame rail. It is about 6x20 and about 6 inches deep. It is built heavily, still there, and comes in very handy.

The early H had a small box under the seat. Later ones would have to be added by the dealer or farmer.

Lightbar tool box was a IH accessory, not standard.

It must be a regional thing. Every Farmall H & M I saw as a kid in central Iowa was equipped with a rectangle tool box mounted over the PTO shield. Probably measured 8x6x20 inches. It's slotted back dropped into brackets attached by the tranismission cover hold down bolts, so that it could be removed bodily and taken elsewhere. Each came with a dealer's logo and advertisement so I expect it was a dealer's "thrown in" item. I remember one time Dad insisted that the new tractor come with a box like was on the M not that thin piece of junk that came with last H. My nickel Dick Davis
