I think I bought a SWD9 today. Guy said it is WD9 has factory hour meter and live hydraulic and power steering. It is very oily so cant make out sn# until it gets good bath. Casting date shows 11 11 W which is 1951 or 1952? Any info on this tractor would be appreciated. Thanks Warren

Super WD-9 was introduced as a 53 model. You need to check your serial number and disc vs band brakes.

Howdy; None of the WD9"s came with factory power steering or live hydraulics, but both could be added. One sure way to tell is WD9"s had band type breaks whereas the supers had disk brakes. Also the earlier models had a magneto ignion, I think the supers would have a batery ignition. Good luck, I like those old workhorses, have put 10,000 hours on mine, pulled a 5-14 model 70 plow in good shape.
