Howdy. I have a 1466 with a 436 motor. Assuming all things standard, what is the horsepower for this machine? I"ve looked all over my manual and I&T book and all they provide is cubic inch info. Curious as to what the HP might be. Thanks in advance.

I've got a tractor dyno tested at my local Case IH dealership for $40, had an H tested last year. If you want to find out what your tractor is actually making for power, thats the way to go.

Ok....so the 1466 Turbo (just like from the factory) is 134 at PTO and 118 and the drawbar. Correct? Just wanting to make sure....that I"ve got my numbers straight! Thanks!

It's very likely that the HP is much higher than that... With the turbo and intercooler, over 200HP at the PTO is easily obtainable with a relatively simple injector pump adjustment.

In addition to that, rumor has it that IH liked to send their tractors to Nebraska detuned a little, so when the farmers got their tractors, the horses seemed a little bigger.

That may be the rated HP, but to see what the tractor REALLY has, a dyno test is the only way to go.
