I am getting new rear tires for my C and want to get the rims sandblasted and repainted before having them mounted. My question is what is the correct color? My C has been repainted and the rims are red. My Super A has original paint and red rims. Many of the photos of restored tractors that I have seen on this site have silver or aluminum paint on the rims. How did they come from the factory? Thanks

After sandblasting them give them a good primer. I use the white RUSTOLEUM. Then get a quart of the silver from the I-H dealer you can clear cote when done and they look great.

Some people feel that the rustoleum is too bright. CNKS has a paint code for a color that others have liked a lot. I haven't done mine yet, maybe after corn is done. If you do a search through the paint forum you should find a post with the number in it. This is has been a popular subject matter

Use aluminum paint on the inside and out, unless you have the money to have them regalvanized. Rustoleum works great.
