I can hear the antifreeze boiling in the engine after I turn it off after running for 15 minutes, or so. That normal?

Also, what kind of spark plugs does it take?

Thank you.

Watch the temp. gauge when you shut down most engines and you'll see the temp. rise. When the pump and the fan are stopped all the coolant in the engine core is still trying to dissipate all the heat with no circulation.

Make sure the coolant level is correct, Usually 1.5" down from neck. If it is the system is probably OK. A flush and drain might mitigate the noise. Some sediment and rust scale will build up in the bottom of the waterjacket surrounding the cylinders and act like a percolater. Cleaning might be worth the effort, but many Farmalls do it. Jimn

Hearing coolant after shutdown is not too uncommon.
