My 1949 Cub leaks oil out the front of the motor on the pully shaft. How hard is it to change seal?

Thanks,
Mark

i did the front seal on my cub due to oil leaks too. when you get the pulley off check for a groove worn in it where the seal rides. if there is a groove, you will need to get a speedy sleeve to put on it. the seal i got from the dealer came with a speedy sleeve in the box. if it doesnt go to your bearing supplier , ie berry bearing and have them order you one. if you dont fix the groove it will keep leaking.

can't speek for the cub but my supper a is similar. remove grill, radiator, complete front end, crank pully, timing cover. seal is installed from the inside of cover.

according to the manual they are the same to remove front cover.
