Hope things are well...

Have had my first tractor (66' Farmall Cub) for a couple years now and have loved it.. Have a belly mower for it and a plower / grader. It's been a great first tractor and I've learned tons!

However, our land has quite a few slopes and it just seems a bit dodgy from time to time. I understand it was designed as a row crop tractor so it didn't really expect the rolly ride. Have widened the wheels and all the other stuff.. It's just a bit top heavy for feeling as safe as I'd like to.

Also, looking for something with a few more ponies.

My question is this. Looking for a '50 - '65 Farmall model that is stable on slopes with between 30-50 at the drawbar and the PTO.

Parts availability also important.

Any help greatly appreciated...

Like RAW said or step up a bit more like a 504 utility or 424 474 -574 and maybe even a diesel and always remember it only cost a buck more to go first class so when looken just don't by a paint job myself i like seen them in there work clothes and fix the small stuff don't buy something that needs major surgury .

I would think something like a 300/350 utility, or maby a 340 Utility would be just the thing. They also have independent pto to make it handier with the mower.

My two cents would go with any low to the ground four wheel type. Ford"Ns" or the 300u Massey tractors or an Oliver super55. Have driven all and they are much happier on hills. I drove older stuff so look into newer stuff too. Jeffcat
