I am working on my MD and haveing trouble finding new sleeves for it. Any suggestions? also is it possible to clean up the existing ones? Three don't look too bad but one had water in it when I cracked it open. So I'm not sure about that one, fairly rusted . This is my first engine rebuild so any help would be apreciated. thanks

i just got done doing an md within the last 3 months. i got every thing thru an ih dealer. i got all the parts within a week except intake valves wich took 2 months to get. (back ordered)
just copy down the engine block # when you order incase someone change the block. sleeves were about $100/sleeve and so were the pistons.
sincerely,
tim

if the bore is 3 7/8" good luck, if you are looking for 4" sleeves, go to your local Case IH dealer.

Just take one of the old sleeved to the Case IH dealer and tell them that you want a sleeve, piston, ring, and wrist pin overbore kit.(3 7/8 to 4 in.) The outside diameter of the sleeve is the same it is just a thinner sleeve wall. It does not hurt the engine as my MD was rebuilt over 8 years ago and is still going strong. Brad
