This is not very clear to me. Does it give gauges and colors?

colors do not mater.
print it off and use colored markers that are the same as your wires and go from there. The only gauge you need is an ammeter for electrical.

Colors do matter to some people that are trying to get their tractor back to original. If colors don't matter would you paint your Farmall green and blue and put a sticker or sign saying it was red?

I guess I would have to say yes. I had an old blue chevy truck we painted red and put all the stickers and plates to say it was 560 wheatland. Pulled like an old plow horse.

That's sort of an apple and orange statement -- The Operators manual does not give colors of all the wires, but you should be able to see what they are if it is the original harness. Aftermarket and probably OEM Case-IH harnesses (I have purchased only aftermarket) come with a printed guide telling the color codes. The aftermarket ones will have different colors anyway.

See the link. You can make it yourself or you can still buy the original wiring. There are excellent diagrams in the Operator's Manual, including diagrams of the exact routing.

Robert (dont know his name here) has most of the wiring diagrams.

Thrid row, third from left, is like my Super A is wired, its been converted to 12 volt.

If yours is still 6 volt then it will differant. Jossette posted one a few days ago for someone that had the wiring diagram before conversion.

the only gauge you need is an ammeter for electrical. water and oil are mechanical units

As far as colors It doesn't mater. operators choice

Red = hot
Black = neg
White = gen
Green = lights

By gauge he is talking about wire size not ammeter.

8 and 10 were common even saw 6 on one a while back. what and how much voltage you want to go through there is up to the operator. The bigger the better on them old 6 volts
