I purchased what was supposed to be an original OP gauge from our local IH dealer. The one on my Farmall H now has a female connection on the back. Everything I have found so far has male connection. Anyone else had this problem?

Some have differing fittings. Most of the threads are 1/8" npt tapered thread at the gauge, and 1/8" compression fitting at the line. (not all) there is a vast difference between these threads and systems, be sure the fitting has identical threads before making it worse. A thread pitch gauge (looks like a small multi bladed saw similar to a set of feeler gauges) will help assure the coupling, or nipple, you need is correct. JimN
