Super C Head

I took my Super C head off to replace the gasket. I took a straight edge to check how flat the head was. When the straight edge is laying on the head from front to back I can get a .004 inch feeler gauge between the straight edge and the area between the 2nd and 3rd cylinder. It looks like there is a high spot behind the 4th cylinder. I checked this with a couple of different straight edges and came to the same result. Should I have this head milled down? How flat does it need to be? Thanks for the help.

Might also want to go back with new head bolts afer having it planed. Had to put new bolts in my SC afer a head gasket job. Old ones had stretched some.

Probably wouldn't hurt to have the head flattened. Especially if the block isn't going to be ground, it will take some of the "slop" out of the head/ block/ gasket sealing area. Wouldn't hurt to check the block while the head is off.
