Ordered a new hydraulic pump ($ouch$) today. It is NOT the M&W, it is the pump that feeds into the bottom, part #128190c91 (I can post pic of old one if needed). Any tips on removing the old one & installing the new one? Your comments are greatly appreciated since I have never done this before!

If you are putting the distributor drive live pump on. Get the engine on top dead center timeing and make sure the rotor is at no.1 plug. Mark that on the side of the distributor. with the engine on tdc of No 1, there should be 2 punch marks on a tooth of the timing gear. The pump should have 1 punch mark between two teeth. Put the one between the two, then put the distributor on making sure that the rotor is lined up for No.1 plug. You also should put the hyd. lines on the pump before you put it on. Not much room near the frame rails. This would be for a M or H

Use a good sturdy floor jack and wire it to the top to prevent tipping, it is heavy. remove all pipe connections and the cap and control lever and parts to allow it to drop. Align the drive coupler so the slot is up and down. Hold your mouth right! Good luck, it is not hard. JimN
