Can anybody tell me where the jets should be set on an H carb.Just rebuilt it and not,this H has an up draft carb.It is a 40 with the pony tank.I think it still has all orginal distillate mechanisms.Thank you for any tips

The idle jet the one up top of the carb is set about 1-1/2 turns out from bottom. The main jet I start at about 2 turns out but a lot of people say to have it around 5 turns out so I don't know for sure. The from there you have to adjust them till you have it running the way you want it to

5 turns out is the Super H setting. It can be turned in for better economy -- not adjusted like the H, which is in until rough, out until smooth plus 1/4 turn or so. Think of the Super series jet as a fixed jet like the C113 gas has, except that it can be leaned some.
