i have the opportunity to buy a IH 37 baler. it seems to be in great condition. he wants 1000 or best offer. compared to what ive seen for sale locally (thumb of michigan) it seems fair. is there anything i need to be aware of with these machines (trouble spots)? is it a fair price? will it work well with my AC D14 (34hp) it looks alot smaller than the other balers ive seen (JD 14T/24T). only gonna bale about 5 acres. thanks for your time (by the way i love farmalls too!!)

Ive used both and I found the IH37 could take a bigger load than the 14T. It has a narrower pickup so you have to chase the windrow a bit but it did a real nice bale. IH balers seem to run at a higher pace at the same rpm than the JD but I think that is just the design.
If its in good shape it shoucl last you for a long time with just 5Ac.

What do you think about the price?

What should I offer?

Are they trouble free?
