Boys:

I just returned from an 8-day trip to Wisconsin from Pensacola. Never seen so many Farmalls in my life. I nearly went nuts. Saw one junkyard with a Super MTA and a nice Stage 2 SM. Dozens of regular M"s and H"s. Not only Wisconsin, but Illinois, and even Kentucky. Many letter series tractors all over the country side.

Gee, I can"t even find an M or H around here let alone a SM or SH. I really enjoyed the trip. Guess I need to go back with my diesel 3/4 ton truck and a heavy duty trailer and hundred dollar bills sticking out of all my pockets.

Got to have me one o" them there M"s or H"s.

Mike: Most Rebels that got that far north and cornered by the Yankees, skipped over into Canada. Had you circum-navigated Lake Michigan, you would have passed through Michigan within 2 hours of me.

Yeah, I guess I would have rescued you, had the Yankees cornered you and where bearing down on you. We just ship you back south via the St. Lawerence Seaway and the Atlantic Ocean. Years ago it was empty RUM freighters going south for more Barbados Rum. Today it is cruise ships loaded with bikini clad ladies.

If you drove down I-65 in Central Alabama on your way to Pensacola, you were about 15 miles away from my buddy"s barn where we have three cubs, two A"s, one BN, one Super C, two H"s, three M"s and one 806, not to mention two Ford 3000"s, a Case 700 and two Kubotas.

If you couldn't believe all the old Farmalls up here in the ag junk yards, you sure wouldn't believe all of them once you started rolling back the doors of every shed you drive by...tens of thousands still in service today all over the state, and upper midwest for that matter.

That's why I love travelling to other portions of the country...a lot to see that you may not be accustomed to.

City-Boy McCoy...if you give me some time here this week, I'll post a picture for you that may put this into perspective for ya. Last weekend we emptied out one of the sheds and took a line-up picture of all of the red. I'll get it on here for ya in a few days.

Say, I have a neighbor that does nothing but deal in H's, M's, 300' 400's and the lot. He gets them from all over and goes through them, throws on a odd red color if they need it, ussually adds a loader and sell's them all over. Most of the time they have wieghts and chains also. If ya want I can get you a number and send ya an email. I was just by there yesterday and i think he must have 20+ pre 50 series tractors sitting there. Very reasonable also.
