I'm looking at a IH 854 it runs good and there is no transmisson noise. The linkage in the shift levers is real bad, you can't get it into all of the gears. Do you think this is just the linkage between the hand shift levers and the transmission (as the owner says) Or could this be a major problem?
What would this tractor be worth? 3 pt and pto's work fine
8800 hours / diesel, some oil leakage.

sorry about the size of the photo, I'll learn how to make it smaller next time.
What are your thoughts on the shifting problem? Is there a good chance it is just the linkage?

Anyone else know what this tractor should be worth?

More than likely just the linkage, not a major problem.

Pricewise, $4,500 is as high as I would go.

Good, tough, tractor if it hasn't been abused too much.
