my family has owned a early model farmall cub since it was new. the only reason i think it might be special is it is the only cub i have ever seen that was all white. all the rest of the cubs in this area were red like all the other farmalls. we dont use this little tractor anymore but i am considering restoring the little jewel to new condition. i grew up on this little tractor and in its hay day it was the most important tractor on the place. seems like there was always a job for it to do. i was wondering if any of you fine folks would have an idea what this white farmall cub would be worth.
thans for your time,
mike baalman

Not sure on the value but the white paint was something they did in 1950 as a promotion. "White Demostrator". I am sure that some would pay more for the tractor being a demo model but not sure if that makes it anymore rare. If it is good shape I might be tempted to leave it as is. My taste have changed in the last few years in that the shiney ones don't catch my eye like the nice one's with origonal paint on them.

a white demo cub in restored condition (i said restored , not just repainted !!) will bring $3000 or so sold via an add on the net , usually about 20% more on internet auction .... & generally about double that at a live dispersal auction BUT before you start the restoration , make sure the ser no is that of an early 1950 ..... AND that you have plenty of "before" pictures that document that it was indeed a white demo ..... .also , the casting dates must all match ( late 49 or very eary 1950) now , with that said .....consideration should also be given to the other post ( "leave it original") personally , i LIKE a tractor that's been(truly) restored ..... AND , while the white Demos are not extremely rare - it is EXTREMELY rare to find one that's never been repainted , since the dealers were s'posed to REPAINT them RED before they could sell them !! .....i have'nt a clue , but it might be possable that your cub is worth as much not restored ?????

i wish to thank you guys for your imput. i know that the tractor was white from the dealer. i was born in 1958 and have been around it my entire life. i think i might just fix some of the mechanical things and get the little guy running again and just clean it up really good and not repaint it. it had quite a few options on it like hydralic lift for the midmount implements and the rockshaft lift for the plow and the lister planter. i know dad always said he only gave $750.00 for the tractor and the attachments. i remember many a day spent mowing and raking feed with the little cub. dad also had a little new holland 66 baler that had its own motor on it and the cub use to pull it too. in fact when that baler was new, new holland came out and took a movie of dad baling oats on my uncle's farm. they also took pictures of our homemade self propelled swather. i think they were more interested in it cause it wasnt too long and new holland had introduced their self propelled swathers.sure wished we would of restored that old swather and put it in a musemen. it was one of a kind for sure.
thanks again, mike baalman
