I have heard there is a tool to re-form or flatten out the filler neck on the farmall tractors. My gas tank leaks around the cap when it is about 3/4 full or more, no matter what I do with the gaskets or the cap. I have come to the conclusion the filler neck is worn and almost not really flat any more. I once read a post about a tool that will fix this problem. Any information about using or buying this tool would be greatly appreciated.

My 53 Super M leaked at the filler neck if it was more than a quarter full with the cap that came with it... I recieved my new safety cap a few days ago . Filled the tank clear up ( damn that hurt the wallet ) put on the new cap and went out to move some dirt with the loader... This usually really made it leak, digging into the pile etc.... Not a drop leaked out.. I was amazed and very very pleased... Try the new cap Tallperson

All of the letter series Farmalls I have ever seen leaked around the lid. I fixed my A and H by ordering the new safety cap that is free to order. Someone on here, or a search will get you the form to fill out and the address to order a free replacement cap.
