I took my loader off Farmall H and sold tractor.
So I have the loader frame on my Farmall M.. Here is the problem and a question... Is the Farmall H & M frames the same or not.. I always thought they were but I have been wrong a few thousand times before. The frame fit on exactly like it was on the H except its almost two inches wider now.. The loader arms will not fit into the pivot pin mount as its about two inches too narrow ?? The frame to frame is mounted flush... Any ideas or do I need to call a welder? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated !

You don't say what loader you have, but if it is an old IH trip bucket, you can just flip the
front frame holders over. If you look you can see that they are probably offset.

yes , as you already discovered the H is 2 inches narrower than the M ( H , 300 , 350 , & 460 are the same , & (all others)- M's up thru the 1970's models are all 2 inches wider so , you either need a welder - a different loader , or just buy another H !? .....not a big deal to weld an extra ear to the outside of your existing pin-holes , so you have a 2nd (2in. wider) place to plug in your loader arms & lift cylinders

I have been told its either a Paulson or a Thompson loader.. It has power tilt with a single cylinder in the middle. Well that answers my question and I appreciate that.. Looks like I will be calling a welder to take a look at it.. I use the loader for a snowplow and snow mover and it has done its job well. So much for the exact same frame theory 2 inches wider. Going to be real happy to get it adapted to the M and again thank you for help.
