Zenith Carburetor

I have a Farmall C that may need a new carb. It must have broken at some point because previous owner had some welding done on it, and the flange isn't true, anymore-- warped a little. Carter is the carb manufacturer.

I see where I can purchase a Zenith carb which is supposed to "outperform" original equipment. Does anyone have experience with the Zenith carb? I'm interested in performance and compatibility with existing linkage, air inlet location, etc.

Any comments? Thank you.

I replaced a Carter with a new Zenith on my Super C. It"s worked good, no more fouled plugs or drips on the floor. Jim

Did the linkage match up, and was gas inlet and air inlet compatible with the Carter?

Thanks for your reply.

No experience with the aftermarket Zeniths, but I have rebuilt, or I should say attempted to rebuild, a couple of those Carters, and I honestly don't know how those Carters lasted and performed as long as they did. The Zenith has got to be a better carburetor.
