Punch below for a few shots from the Hamlin NY antique equipment show this past weekend.

Hamlin is primarily an IHC show - 70+ IHC tractors from a McCormick 10-20 to an STX 380 were on display. However most other colors, plus a wide variety of antique farm equipment and engines were on display.

Nice little show!

Thanks for the pics Bob, just to let you know Pics # 8 & 24 are a Case 500, the forerunner to the 900

Better change that IH "186" caption to read 184 there too, ya blasphemous scoundrel. ;O)

Nice pics. Liked the pic of that old White in the background too. An uncle ran one of them over the road many years ago, but forget the model now. All I remember is how noisy and rough it was to ride in.

Denny - a 184 it is and a correction made. (I KNEW it was a 184 - can attribute that error to my poor keyboarding skills...)

Thanks for the catch!

Bob: I knew it, I always go to Upstate NY the wrong time of year. You told me about this show last year in July. Now, here I sit and have missed two shows since. How about if next year you give a months warning, do the same with scotty. Been wanting to meet that guy, but he wont go to his cottage in VT, at a time when I can get there. You get him to Hamlin next year, and I'll be there.

Hows that scotty? We cant get to VT when you and Kathleen are there, you haven't found your way to ON. So how's about it, we plan to meet in Hamlin, Aug. 2007.

By the way Bob great photos as usual.

scotty: Make note of my post to Bob. I'm a bit frustrated with the medical system. Back in the days when you paid the doc out of your back pocket, he had to make sure the pocket was full enough for the task.

Your right, we do have a year, no need to argue, just tell me the benefits of Canandaiqua over Hamlim. I'll check with Bob to see if your right, as I know he goes to both. Afterall, this whole exercise has nothing to do with place, it's about prople meeting people.

Thanks Hugh!

For the past 8 or 10 years the Hamlin show has been the weekend before Labor Day ("Labour" Day for you guys to the north?). Anyway expect the 2007 show will be the same weekend next year - will confirm soon as I find out for sure.

Incidentally the Alexander Gas & Steam Show is coming up Sept 7 - 10 (Alexander is about halfway between Buffalo and Rochester). This one is perhaps the biggest show in western NY - it's well worth the trip if you can make it!

Bob: My biggest problem is I have too many places I want to see, and not enough time or cash flow, to do them in. You see, I could retire if I were content to sit by the fireside. I don't tend to do that very well. I always say if your away from home, your either spending money or your making money, but never both at the same time.

Couple that with the fact I'm having a few health problems, and really haven't felt like being too far from my own bed. You see if I sit down with all the long list of gall bladder symptoms, I have all of them, yet I've been to 4 different medical tests that tell me there is nothing wrong with my gall bladder. I've talked with several folks who've had the operation, compared notes and they tell me I have classic gall bladder problems, " have it removed,"

Finally just this morning I told the Doc. lets do some other tests, to see what else might be wrong. I told him if I have something terminal and only have 6 months to 3 years, let me know and I will enjoy my time left to the fullest. Now, if I'm going to last 20-25 years then get on with and patch me up, as I'll have to work another 10 years to afford that. It's just that simple, and I can handle either one.
