Bought mine from Tractor Supply for $37.50 seems to work fine. The only thing it did not have was a new throttle butterfly.

Elk farmer, if you ever get a chance, compare the TSC kit side by side to a Case-IH kit. Take the various parts out of the package and hold them in your hand. You will quickly realize why the Case-IH kit is more than double the cost. I have used the cheap kits also, it is very rare to get a cheap kit that actually has ALL of the parts in it that are supposed to be in there. There will just about always be at least one piece missing, sometimes more than one, and usually the gaskets do not fit properly. I think it is safe to say that the TSC kit did not come with a new packing gland for the load adjustment screw either.

Rusty
Actually the kit did come with the packing for the high speed adjusting screw. Matter of fact you instructed me how to use the packing and thank you for the good instructions no leaks.
The tractor runs great.
I'm sure the more expensive kit has all the correct parts but the one I bought worked fine.

Elk Farmer, that is very encouraging to hear. Maybe these aftermarket manufacturers are finally getting it right? I think the TSC kits are made by Tisco, if so, a big thumbs up for them.

Quality costs money -- you won't need another for a long time. It also costs Case-IH money to keep suppling parts for almost 70 year old tractors. That probably has as much to do with it as anything.
