I Have restored 5 unstyled JD's and am now considering trying a F-12 or 14. I am used to getting just about everything that I need from the JD dealer for the re build. What should I expect from the local IH dealer?
He has been helpfull with my 1952 Cub.
Thanks
Marty Z

I've gotten about everything I've needed for my F14 from Rice Equipment and its a good place to do business. I suspect a lot of junk yards have them for parts as well. You can get all the seals and electrical parts from NAPA as well.

Youll find very little at your dealer, or at leats I didnt find anything other than seals and such. There are parts out there, but I have noticed they seem to have gotten alot more expensive. I have bought 2 fuel pump kits, last one was 35 bucks. Now I see they have skyrocketed to near 100,even on ebay.Rice equipment is pretty good,Ive gotten a couple of NOS parts from him and have been satisfied 100%.

Never tried the IH dealer, but the only problems I had with a complete engine job on my F14 was cam bearings, and my machine shop was able to mike the bores and journals and order to fit. Very few difficulties in finding any of the parts I needed.

Details at the link.

Hey Marty Z,

You could also try the Fordson House here in the U.P of Michigan. They also have parts for F14,20,30 and McCormick Deering parts as well for the 10-20 and 15-30"s. I bought a fuel pump repair kit last year for my f-12 and I know I paid under $20 for it. My 2 cents worth.

What all was in it? The ones I have gotten from Rice are the basic diaghram, and the springs for the discs and the gaskets. I dont know what the ones Im seeing on ebay have in them, but for what they are going forit better be a really good kit.
