I looked it up in the book..."doing it right" The definition is:

1. It Runs
2. It don't smoke
3. It has oil pressure
4. It does not run hot and
5. it don't knock!

and if I were going to work the tractor and do more than start it up twice per year, I might spend $1,500.00 on parts. Gentlemen, thank you very much for your sage advice I have carefully written it down so I won't forget it.

You may be able to have the old 3 3/8" sleeves bored & honed to 3 7/16" by a good machine shop. Provided they're still tight in the block. They should have enough metal to do this. Hal
